Attention Harris County (TX) Democrats
As a fellow Texas voter, I'm sure you all share my outrage over the Republican redistricting coup, and I am sure you are all even more outraged over the fact that it did not have to end up this way. Due to the spineless, weasely and accomodationist tactics of Rep. Ron Wilson and Sen. John Whitmire, the Texas legislature is now in a position to enact a shamelessly gerrymandered congressional map that will dilute the voting strength of non-white people in this state. We should expect as much from Republicans: after all, they are the White People's Party. I mean, just where would the Republican Party be without white people? But for so-called Democrats like Wilson and Whitmire to play go along to get along, in the hopes of getting some table scraps from the Republican leadership is beyond despicable. These men need to be taught a lesson. Hopefully, these men will be vigorously challenged in next March's primary and replaced by real Democrats. Should they win renomination, I would suggest voting for a Green or Libertarian candidate, thus allowing a Republican to win. I RARELY advocate doing this. Hell, I'd even vote for Lieberman if I had to next year, but even a party stalwart like me has limits.

These crooks will do anything they can to circumvent elections. They know people don't want their right wing crap shoved down their throats.

5. While I don't want Republicans to win (the second part of your plan)
I do think that both of these "Democrats" should be primary challenged, and that we should elect real Democrats.

8. I am already spreading the word.
But I do need to know about what R. Wilson did. I was listening to the radio one evening and the guest was talking about Ron Wilson. Do you know what the deal is with him?

9. wilson
He did not go to Ardmore. He voted for the map, several times, and he is cooperating on the conference committee.
