Katrina has shown that limited Government can be disastrous
In the past Dem's have always struggled to have an answer when being labeled as "Big Government" Democrats by Republicans. It's a label that always had a stigma attached to it.

As another post illustrates, "If you don't believe in Government you can't govern". Katrina has proved this to be the case and proved Dem's have a point in wanting a strong Federal Government.

As tragic as this is Dem's can now point to Katrina and the dismantling of FEMA to illustrate that a strong Federal Government is often extremely important and a limited, gutted government can be disastrous!

The proof is clear as day and now Dem's have something to point to to prove this point.

Rush Limbaugh proved wrong again.

When the GOP decides that the rich need a tax cut, other services have to be cut to make up for the lost revenue...

Services like improving protections against natural disasters.
