Personally I fully support it although can't make it myself, I may participate in a satelite march as from what I understand all over the country people who can't fully afford to make the trip are holding satelite demonstrations to show solidarity.

As far as effect goes I think if millions of people really do show up, it will easily send shockwaves to this administration and to the country. People who maybe don't pay any attention would flip on their tv's and just go "holy shit! the nation really is pissed off this looks like the 60's!!" It would be so cool if it became a historical event, and I think it is destined for that.

I know Bush is an unfeeling bastard but you gotta admit even he won't be able to fully ignore millions of Americans at his doorstep screaming for his ass to go back to bankrupting Saudi funded oil companies.

1. I hope that now that the polls show
a dissatisfaction for the war it might get some news. I am going but just for Sat. Monday is going to be a day of 'civil disobedience' and people will form a chain around the WH. Wish I could stay for that.

2. Only if it's televised...
That is the only way any shockwaves will be felt. My guess is there will be a sanitized blurb about it on the news where they will make it look like an unruly MOB of about 14 people... much the same way the protesters were portrayed during his motorcade after the swearing in.

3. I'm not sure...
It depends on the media coverage it gets. I will say that people in my age group(45-55) don't seem to be that interested, but maybe they will be once they see it get going. Sometimes, just hearing about some happening isn't as exciting as the happening is in actuality.
