Not looking good for the Guy James Show.

Just a status update; The Guy James Show only took in $85 of the $7000 needed to stay on the are after Saturday's show.

I guess people must finally be tapped out from all the donations we have been called upon to make and cannot afford to go to http://www.theguyjamesshow.com/contribute.shtml and help out?

Sad to be losing a Liberal Democratic voice at this important time, but this Saturday's show will be the last, barring a miracle.

a few people were saying that they gave on Saturday in response to your post. I gave $20 myself. Is there any chance that they're just not yet counting the money that's not yet gotten through PayPal? (I got an E-mail from Guy James in response to the PayPal donation, so I'm guessing that he would have counted mine in there already.)

I find this to be not only very upsetting but also quite disgusting if true. :( I'd especially hope that the callers that call in frequently might send him something now and then. Unbelievable! $85? :( :( :( :wtf: is wrong with people I wonder?

I hope that more is on the way to Guy James! I've been contributing to Guy for a couple of years now on and off. I don't have a whole lot to "give" but I do send him money when I can every month or so.

Guy is the real deal! He has thanked me on the air and sent me a letter the other day. I really hope we don't lose Guy James! GUY JAMES IS one the THE BEST in the business. I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS AIRAMERICA!

6. Couldn't we put togehter something akin to a Grant Proposal

and send it to some rich libs who DON'T have a no-compete clause with Air America? Streisand, Reiner, Beatty, the big ones. I have no idea how to write such a thing but if we could, with the force of all the members of DU behind it, I think we could get at least 7 grand.

But its worth a shot even if not in the short term. Short term...sheehsh, I dunno, I wish we could get the first DU Guy James Telethon going right here and right now. I'm rambling, I am just heartsick at the prospect of Guy not being on the air and despondent that I don't have much more cash than I send to the show already.
