How Bloomberg benefits from Thursday night's terror alert:
Edited on Thu Oct-06-05 11:20 PM by tgnyc
He was taking a lot of heat for refusing to participate in a mayoral debate at the Apollo Theater in Harlem Thursday Night. As a result, for the last several days, his opponent Freddy Ferrer has had Mike on the defensive over charges of disrespect to the black community.

Because of the interestingly-timed subway alert, the front pages of the New York tabloids will now have a completely different focus from what would have otherwise been a scathing reminder of Mike's no-show at the Harlem debate.

Perhaps Mike has been going to school on Bush and the whole strategically-timed terror alert tactic.

1. yep
that's exactly what I was thinking. When you're in trouble, just make up a "terror alert."
