Scary visions I'd like never to see come true...
On a date close to the November 2006 mid-term Congressional elections another major terror attack hits the US resulting in Republicans retaining control of Congress.
(This solves the downhill slide of the ever corrupt republican party from losing power in Congress and keeps the PNAC neo-con agenda in effect)

Bush goes before the country and Congress and asks for a re-instatement of the military draft to fight the war on terror (this gives the military the warm bodies it needs to carry out the PNAC agenda of fully occupying Iraq and preparing for the invasion of Iran)

Full court press is applied to Iran to prove a negative (i.e. provide proof that they don't have a nuclear weapon) which can't be done, resulting in another US invasion of yet another country.

This will be propagandized by the Bush adminstration as if this is a reasonable response as worthy and justified as World War II.

1. Right off
I don't think another major terrorist event will help Bush at all. We have lost faith in his ability to lead decisively and/or to handle disasters. Iraq was ill-conceived and even those who were okay with going in are now questioning it.

Another event is going to have the population yearning for another leader.

And a resintatement of the draft will find marches on Washington hosting millions of protestors.

My opinion.

8. You're right - it won't help Bush
with his pitiful ratings. However, it surely will help him declare martial law, which is something he seems to be hankering for a lot these days (after all, he IS the Terror/Hurricane/Flu/War President, right?). Good luck with those marches when that happens - the Blackwater mercs will be using us like ducks in a shooting gallery at that point ..... peaceful protests will be a thing of the past.

4. They lied about Iraq, they destroyed their own CIA and an agent....
stolen elections, manipulated intelligence, manipulated reporters, planted stories, intentional inept gov't service to the public...

the list could go on about this adminstration...

They are the worst this country has ever had to offer and they aren't done, yet.
