More Trouble for Rove, Miller, White House
Where will the Buck Stop on this One?

Hot off the presses is this Newsweek story by the ever intrepid Mike Isakoff on the latest in Plame-gate. Apparently, as noted earlier, Miller's "missing" notes show a far earlier Libby connection. Miller's role is now subject to greater scrutiny. And the White House is trying to explain why it took so long to find the key email from Rove after his "discussions" with Matt Cooper. Oh, and there is more evidence that Rove lied to Bush about his role.

How long do we have to wait before someone takes responsibility in this Administration?

2. At long last, sir, we are at the end of the Clenis' power. . .
the blame for this all lies in the lap of Shrub and the Big Dick.

3. You must have been watching Hannity & Colmes on 10/7
Cross-posted to the activsts forum:

It is apparent that Rove lied to * and Fitz will put his ass in a sling for it. As John Conyers puts it, "...Oh, and there is more evidence that Rove lied to Bush about his role. How long do we have to wait before someone takes responsibility in this Administration?" See "What Karl Rove told the President"

Playing a hunch, I entered the string "Rove lied" (with quotation marks) into Google news. Of couse, there were no hits, were you expecting the korporate media to pick up and run with this? Of course not! However, I found many for the string without the quotes.

Try winning with lies

Everyone would agree that we need to bring all our troops home from Iraq. While most politicians and military men ponder how to do this, there is a very simple way immediately available, to wit: Since we lied our way into the war, how about we lie our way out of it. Vice President Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld and Condaleeza Rice would form a committee to prepare and release press reports, hourly, describing the incredible successes of our U.S. armed forces in Iraq.

Truth, of course, would not be allowed because "truth" is what it is and you can't change it. A lie, on the other hand, can be changed by another lie if the first one turns out unfavorable to your interests. Since we know these four officials are highly skilled in "spinning" the news, they are eminently qualified for this important assignment.

Notably, George W. Bush is not recommended for this project since he is incapable of original thought. However, Michael "you're doin' a heck of a job" Brown as well as Tom "I didn't do anything illegal" DeLay would be excellent alternates.

Given the lack of media coverage, it is up to us to get this issue onto the national radar. You know the other side is doing all they can to deflect national attention:

Hannity & Colmes Still Blaming Clinton, Not Talking About Bush

Hannity & Colmes held another discussion last night (10/7/05) about Louis Freeh's allegations that former President Bill Clinton solicited donations for his presidential library from the Saudis. Substititue co-host Rich Lowry and Michael Reagan were just as snidely supercilious as Sean Hannity and Newt Gingrich were the night before. Alan Colmes and Democratic strategist Todd Webster did a good job of knocking them down several pegs. But once again there was only a brief mention of the latest Republican scandals and only as part of the defense against Freeh. Don't they deserve at least one discussion of their own?

Next DU activist campaign - LTTE campaing to bring national attention to Murray Wass's National Journal Story on Plame investigation & lack of media coverage.
