E-mail from Direct TV: Re: AAR
This is the answer I received from Direct TV when I asked about AAR. It would behoove all of us who subscribe to request they add AAR to their channel lineup.

Regarding your query about Air America, I'm sorry but we don't have information's yet if we're going to add that channel. However, we're always looking for ways to enhance our services, and customer feedback is very important to us. I have forwarded your comments on to DIRECTV Management.

We often make changes to our service based on customer requests, and we conduct customer surveys on a regular basis to get feedback and new ideas.

Full details of the XM channel lineup are still being determined, so please stay tuned to DIRECTV.com for the latest information about this exciting new programming.

Sincerely,

Adrian C

Someone here on DU posted it yesterday and that's where I found it. I hope many other DUers will also write.

2. here's what they wrote me. Let's keep writing them
Thanks for writing. We have reached an agreement with XM Satellite Radio that will allow us to provide DIRECTV customers with up to 72 channels of XM's music, children’s and talk programming. The new XM service will begin on November 15, 2005 in the 800 channels currently used by Music Choice. DIRECTV has ended it's contract with Music Choice, but will continue to air their programming until XM Satellite Radio starts.

We're always looking for ways to enhance our services, and customer feedback is very important to us. I have forwarded your comments on to DIRECTV Management.

5. It's still being determined, however....
....a full list of the XM channels they will be offering and with which packages is available at their website.

Still, it can't hurt to try, I suppose.

6. Cool! We don't have to pay extra for these do we?
I mean, since it is replacing Music Choice?
