In re Tim Russert, I wanted to share my take away moment
from this week's Meet the Whores.

Near the close of the show Timmy puts up pictures of Delay, Abramoff, Frist, and Rove (I think those were the ones). As each picture goes up, Timmy recites the charges hanging over that person's head. So he basically put up pictures of most of the leadership of the Republican party being incicted or under investigation. Now I'm thinking "Wow, Timmy is going to discuss the implications of the entire Republican party being a corrupt criminal enterprise devoid of policy ideas. So my ears perk up and I'm listening. But guess what Timmy's question is for the panel...."do you think this will impact the 2006 elections)?????? WHAT??????

People like Russert and Matthews, who at one time might have been respectable journalists are now about as useful as my boy dog's nipples.

1. I assume your dog is male.
But yeah--it's amazing how every discussion of government is now reduced to all politics, all the time. The only thing that matters is gaining and keeping power. Governing? What's that?

4. Paper trail ...why?
Pat Robertson using the the term "paper trail" in regard to Ms. Miers lack of one judicially, I found oddly ironic. We now need a paper trail on a lawyers legal notions but not for an national election process.

5. Neither G.E.RUSSERT Nor Tweety Were "Respectable Journalists"
They were political hacks---OUR political hacks back then---who took jobs in the entertainment media.

7. i heard michael moore and moveon.com called 'useful idiots'
by a repukelican talk show caller.....that's the sink calling the bathtub 'pink'!
('useful idiots' was supposedly lenin's description of liberals in the west, back when the communist movement looked like it needed very little to seize control of the world's governments)
