Wolf Blitzer on now talking about "End of Days"
Edited on Mon Oct-10-05 04:15 PM by Flubadubya
On now (5:15 p.m. ET). He refers to all the calamities we have witnessed lately... from the tsunami, to the hurricanes, and now the earthquake in Pakistan.

And guess who he is getting his information about regarding this "end of days"... YEP, you guessed it (probably). None other than old reliable himself, Pat Robertson. :puke:

Now why is this "news"? Can anyone tell me what this has to do with news?

Robertson on now. ACK!

1. If everybody turned off Wolf Blitzed
he'd go away because his ratings would drop through the floor.

3. Because either Wolfie is trying to stir up a stink
so he has more drama to report on--e.g. a religious civil war. Or Wolfie is a believer.

4. How pathetic that this is supposedly a "serious" news outlet.
A year from now, five years from now, 20 years from now, 100 years from now, 1,000 years from now, the End of Days will still be juuuuuust around the corner for these gullible people.

19. Just because Blitzer and Robertson haven't done anything significant ....
....with their lives doesn't mean they should be out there talkin' this crap.

Some of us have been and are continuing to do amazingly important things at this moment.

I see "these times" as an opportunity to put these 'neocon RW fundie' days to rest... forever and on into the future...

20. Leslie Blizer knows it's more important to fluff endtime myth...
... than say one word about the impending demise of Bush's Inner Circle as Bob Fitzpatrick pummels them with indictments.

Yuppers, it's the "End of Days" -- but not for the wrold, but the White House.

21. Maybe he means
1816, the so called "Year without Summer" when Mt. Tambora blew and
put so much ash into the atmosphere that weather patterns changed.
100,000s of people died, perhaps millions.

or maybe 1883 when Krakatau blew up and created a tsunami wave 120
feet high that killed almost everyone in Indonesia.

or maybe 1918-1919 when a pandemic flu epidemic killed millions.

or maybe... well, you get the idea. It's clear the "End is near"
folks DON'T.

With over 6 billion people, I surprised that ONLY 10s of thousands
die when these events occur, if for no other reason than that
millions more live within only a few hundred miles of the disaster.

22. Marilyn Manson said it best
in Bowling for Columbine, the great doc by Michael Moore.

Paraphrasing: We live in a society thats based on Fear and Consumption

The more fear, the greater the consumption. I am SURE Time Warner fully subscribes to this notion

26. Did You Ever Think It Would Get So Bad You'd Actually Suspect The Leaders
of the US along w/ their propoganda lap dogs would be actively trying to promote the idea that Armageddon is nigh?

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would suspect that. But I do. I can't help it. I think they are truly trying to push an "End Times is Here" meme to whip up their frothing true believer, looney base to their cause and defense. And also possibly for "who know what" other motives.

28. Next on CNN: The Earth is the center on the universe and unicorns exist.
I've had it with this Bullshit...Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, are NOT reliable sources...these batshit crazies make goldfish look like brain surgeons who have an IQ of 150. The only "end of days" this signals, is the end of journalism, as we know it. It's pretty damn bad when they have to sink this low. I don't live in either Pat's or Jerry's fantasy world, and I don't intend to any time soon.

29. It's not news. Wolf Blitzer is an entertainer posing as a news man.
It's all a ruse. He is a news speculator. He's the 'what-if' news guy. And Pat Robertson is the devil incarnate.

31. Blitzer is probably PNAC as well. His biography is pretty sketchy.
He's probably towing the line. They are probably working on their next "natural" disaster. They are probably initiating "natural" (look up Weather Modification bill) disasters so they can overwhelm the public and destroy urban areas and then 'conveniently' bring in Halliburton to rebuild these areas, along with other beloved cronies.
