So, about this "wounded animal" scenario with * you know the
one about being backed in a corner and lashing out...I read a couple of threads on this in the past week. Who here is concerned that this phenomenon could occur with that evil lying lunatic * given things don't look so good for them now.

1. well I think
all these "terrorist alerts" are just that....one can only hope they don't actually give us an "attack"...I, too, am frightened of that scenario...or the bird flu thing...oh wow...

2. He's an animal that was kept in a cage; he may be
wounded, but without his handlers to feed him, I think he'll be less than effective. I sort of see him....melting. One can wish!

3. Bush will have an airport, aircraft carrier, a museum, and 40 schools...
named after him by 2020 easily.

Nobody in this country can admit they made a mistake or take accountability so they'll make a hero out of him to avoid the embarrassment of the truth.

5. You mean like Richard Nixon?
I always thought that the water-treatment plant outside DC (Blue Plains) should have been named after Nixon. It could be our nation's monument to corruption and in the summer it could double as the RNC headquarters.

the conservative movement. They feed on hate. The nation is too divided.

I think back with some trepidation to how the civil war started.

7. They appeal to emotion and not logic
and emotionally the base remains attached and will put forth new leaders and blame the old ones and never look back.

13. If he goes, he will go like McCarthy
Don't worry, he won't nuke a blue state or start another war, "they" won't let him. If he is really in a mental meltdown state, as it is starting to look, I think a good precedent would be McCarthy. He didn't go ballistic, shoot anyone, he just sorta became a joke, noone took him seriously anymore, and he started drinking himself to death.

One of Bush's most obvious traits is an absolute inability to change course, admit he is wrong. He will not do anything new, he will keep desperately doing the same old things that once worked, and as they continue to not work, he will just keep doing them over and over and look stupider every time. Think 10 trips to New Orleans, 10 unsuccesful photo ops in a row. He is lost.

14. Hey thanks for this, I didn't know how McCarthy ended exactly.
He does keep doing the same things over and over. I tend to agree with you. I hope "good guy" is standing close to him at all times waiting for the right moment to step in.
