Well my friends, it has almost been a year (heading to Chicago)
About year ago, the day of the election, I was heading to Chicago (from Ohio) on a business trip.

My what a change a year brings.

* stole another election that night. My mom went into the hospital not long after and passed away new years eve. I got promoted, twice. Several others I have known have also died in this time.

Tomorrow I drive back to Chicago on another business trip (and a pleasure one, so family is going with me this time).

What has another year of * wrought upon you?

Yeah, I am farther along career wise, and no * had nothing to do with mom's passing. But as I sit here reflecting over another year gone by with the idiot(s) in power I am left wondering - what has the past year brought you?

I am on zoloft now (and it helps a lot), I turn 40 on the 20th, and this last year has been one hell after another.

Better times ahead? heck, I don't see em as much worse :)

1. Glad to hear it's getting better for you :0)
2004 was the single most miserable year of my life... hospitalizations and surgeries (myself and my dad who died shortly thereafter), illness (husband diagnosed with diabetes), three hurricanes (the last of which toppled six trees into my house causing major damage)... Junior "winning" the election was merely the icing on the doggydoo cake.

But it's all good now, except for the empty hat still occupying the WH. But his life has taken a sudden turn for the worse, and all I can say is IT'S ABOUT GODDAMN TIME he suffered a little like he's made so many others suffer.

Take care... best of luck to you!

2. Have a wonderful time in the Windy City.
It's going to be, maybe, the last of the pleasant weather and there is so much to enjoy.

Throw the weight-of-the-world off and have a grand time! Chicago is a great place to do that.. especially with your family there to share.

ENJOY!
