7. Trouble is that the Demcrats have become corporate whores too
And thus even if you present such evidence to them, they will ignore it all in favor of helping out their real constituents, Corporate America.

This situation is going to continue to decline until we make publicly financed election campaigns the law of the land. Until then Corporate America will continue to buy up all of the government, and the rest of us will continue to get screwed.

21. No friend, the issue is to get Corporate America out of our Government
And like I said earlier, the only way to do that is through making publicly financed election campaigns the law of the land.

Anything else is just insuring our continued demise. It should be obvious that these aren't your daddy's Democrats, especially with the DLC calling the shots and controlling the pursestrings. And while they might throw us a bone, and talk the good talk, in the end all they are going to do is to do whatever it takes to please their corporate masters.

13. it doesn't matter we have a cultural war to wage!
money doesn't matter -vote on morality!

I am so sick of the stupid people who continue to support the destroyers of my coutnry.

The deficit is a long term ruin. Look at everything else that does NOT work today, from FEMA- to national security-it goes on and on.

Here's an extreme example:
http://www.dixienet.org/

>Second, we cannot emphasize too often or too strongly that the League is a Southern nationalist organization and not a heritage defense group. Our goal is Southern independence, complete, full, and total. This is our chief principle of action. All efforts must be tested against this question: Does it aid our quest for independence? If not, then don’t do it. It’s as simple as that. If your agenda does not have Southern independence at its core, then you’re in the wrong organization<

19. Agree that the true believers in the radicalright are a lost cause
and the vote getting should come from our base, young people, undecides, and those who don't vote.

I say get out the vote for '06 and '08.

22. Let's help them to reach their stated goal! Imagine how nice it would be
here if we could get rid of all those a-holes at once!
Sorry if you live in one of those places, but it would be for the good of the country. We would have a power-house of an economy and there would be plenty of good paying jobs for our red state refugees.
C'mon let's get behind this! Support Jesusland! :woohoo: :bounce: :woohoo:

28. I showed that graph to a Republican friend and he said.........
that it didn't mean much because it was in dollars that weren't adjusted for inflation. He said the the % of GDP of debt is less than it was under President Johnson.

Can some on find one that is adjusted. This is a nice graph but the freeper will destroy it.

31. the peaks and valleys are so wide, there's no way around it...
the freeper isn't being intellectually honest and he/she knows it. ask freeper to provide proof to his outrageous claim.

and if you ask a freeper about cost of living these days, he'll say that inflation hasn't changed much since Clinton. heh.

32. Those are 2 different criticisms, BTW (inflation, % of GDP)
Just as long as your friend realizes this.

Also, a surplus is still a surplus.... correcting by a factor (i.e. inflation, GDP growth/decline) won't change the sign (+, -)!

33. To elaborate:
So where is all the money flowing out to? War for corporate interests (oil), no bid contracts (HAL, KBR), stock market manipulation (Fed?), pork projects (bridges to nowhere).

And who will be left holding the bag on that debt? The TAXPAYERS. With each passing year, fewer and fewer rich folks (and large, PROFITABLE, corporations) actually pay any taxes. That leaves you & me and our kids.

This is the reality of the USA in 2005.
