Poll question: Who Would You Vote For?

Lets say you had a Senate race coming up next year. The incumbent is a nutty republican wacko. The two democrats begining to vie for the nomination are...

A recognized name, whose father had held office previously. He is economically liberal (ie sane) but is pro-war, anti-choice, and generally a social conservative.

Or, someone not yet generally recognizable, who the party would have to work to get people to know. Economically liberal (ie sane) and anti-war, pro-choice, and generally a social liberal.

Or, the nutbag in office.

Who would you vote for? I ask because the people of Pennsylvania seem intent on nominating Casey for the Senate seat against Santorum, who is a recognized name, but seemingly against many of the values of the Democratic Party.

1. Even here on DU people seem to support Casey

I just think it's a mistake. Simply because he's registered as a Democrat, and is leading in polls...people seem to think he's the best candidate.

I think that Santorum is vulnerable to anyone. 70% of the state is pro-choice. Why would we want to have a Democratic Senator from the state who is pro-life?

People on DU need to support Chuck Pennacchio who is the true Democrat trying to defeat Santorum.
