Bizarre email from someone thinking Bush is underpaid and deserves "love"

Subject:
President Bush

To:
Rep. Peter King

October 1, 2005

I recently did some research on presidential incomes. I read that the President is making about the sum of $4000,000/ year. When I read this I was very heartbroken. To see our President was making what Trump pays for in one tailored suit is sad. How is this country ever going to be run properly if OUR president (and his family!) isn't properly cared for. Shouldn't even at the least, we should show our LOVE for him! Something needs to be done.

West Babylon , NY

2. This person should stop worrying. He's making hand over fist
now that he's in a position to receive gifts from lobbyists, affect market conditions for his favorite stocks and corporations and can get support for tax laws that affect himself and his rich buddies. A working salary like that doesn't even come close to being his actual income.

4. I really doubt even The Donald pays $400,000 for a suit, tailored or not.

6. We are all underpaid and deserve love. Not all of us are qualified
to be the POTUS/CIC, though.

8. You're absolutely right sir, something must be done. Thus, it is with
great regret that we have decided to let Mr. Bush seek other opportunities which might better suit his needs elsewhere and with another organization.

Unfortunately, due to budget shortfalls caused by severe mismanagement, a salary increase is out of the question.

So, though it pains us to do so, we feel it would be in Mr. Bush's best interest if he were to pursue other career options.

9. ROFL!!!
A letter to King, of all people! This is the same guy that made the 'it's in the bag' statement about the 2004 election!

If this letter is for real, it's a perfect example of why taking civics out of public school is a bad idea. The President IS taken care of! Does this writer think the President pays rent to live in the White House and ride on a private plane with a security detail protecting his every move???? Geesh!!!

11. And to think, a captain of industry like * fell for it.
He should have known better, it's a dead end job with no future. In this case anyway.

14. Whoever sent this
should be sent to a nice quiet room. With padded walls. Wearing one of those stylish wraparound jackets.

"Ok. Just a little pinprick.
There’ll be no more -- aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick."

16. $400,000 is more than any other President got paid.
...and they did a helluva lot more than Chimpy...and took a LOT LESS VACATION! An increase in Presidential pay was passed under Clinton, but Bill couldn't be paid the $400 grand by law. I think Clinton's was around $240,000.

17. That's what I was thinking.
What has he done to earn the money? He should work for a $1 salary until the deficits are gone.
