Implications beyond Plame-gate
although the focus of the investigation is on who said what to who and when and whether or not it was a crime - the overall implications go further

Beyond Plame-gate is an even bigger can of worms -- THE REAL REASON FOR INVADING IRAQ. We know the bushies lied about WMDs, and their rational for invading has change 27 times (at last count) - the media has pretty much barely mentioned the lies, and if it's mentioned at all it's in the form of a tossed-in comment

I think the PLAME-GATE is going to indirectly bust open that can of worms.

bush*'s numbers are at an average of 39.5% approval with 55.2% DISAPPROVAL ( http://www.realclearpolitics.com/polls.html ) - his political capital account is in deep-doo-doo, and it's looking like the press puppies have grown in their teeth

the big story for a few days will be the indictments, but the media can only run with this for a short time - afterall how many times can you run the same headline with no new information? This means they will have to find another road to news. Plame-gate is linked to the original reason for invading Iraq - that being WMDs and the media will delve into this more.

We are seeing snippets of it in "bio" blurbs about WHIG - who participated and what was said about how to sell the war to the public

yes, by all means grab some  - but also keep a supply on hand for the sequel
