Reminds me of an experience.

When I was at Ft. Drum, they played Proud To Be An American (the only song people know him by) and we SALUTED to scenery during the song. This was during division/brigade meetings for deployments. One of my roommates was 18 yr old Pvt. Wilson. He would cry while the song played (saluting). That's fucking patriotism. Something that goes beyond feelings. Lee might be an asshole or a hypocrite, but that song really does have an effect.
