Which Dems are supporting Sen. Reid?
I really need to learn where to look for things like this. I want to write to all of them and thank them, and write to my senators if they are not.

Thanks.

1. As far as we can know, all of them,
At least as long as they have not said the opposite, they should be considered supportive.

7. I've never been a one-issue voter...
but I'm considering making support of Reid a prerequisite for getting my vote in any future election. Thoughts?

support.

We can list those who have stated support to Reid, but that is all.

A few of them: Kennedy, Feingold, Kerry, Schumer, Durbin, Rockefeller, Levin, Boxer ...

3. Thanks for the welcome...
and thanks for the information. Blanche Lincoln's regional office is right across the street from my office, so if I need to go see her rep, I can do it - and I will.

4. Dick Durbin was in on it too
He's gotten overlooked, but was also one of the movers in this....

9. MY Senator Is At The Forefront Of This
It was Senator Durbin who seconded Reid's motion. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Durbin who came up with the procedure as he's taken on a lot of the parlimentarian duties in his leadership role. He also went on the talk shows and shot down the Repugnican talking points handily...showing a passion that is uniting a lot of Democrats right now.

I even heard Harold Ford Jr. saying good things about this move. When a DINO like that is supporting this move and its motives, the Repugnicans are about to see they don't have the "majority" they really have.

Yep, Chimpster tried to walk away from the indictments and ramrod another SCOTUS choice through and the Democrats are starting to finally get some juevos. I'm sad it had to get to this point and this is purely symbolic, but it's something we can rally around and use it to build toward retaking the House and Senate next year.

10. I adore your Senator.
He is, easily, one of the smartest people in the Senate and one of the most compassionate. He is both a moral guide and compass for the Democratic Party. I sometimes leave C-Span2 on as background when I'm doing things around my house. Sen. Durbin is one of the very few people in the Senate that I always pause to listen and pay attention to when he speaks on the floor.

I love him. I always figured that if I ever had to trade Senators to any other State (mine are MA) I would trade for IL's. Sen. Durbin is wondeful and I fully support him. (I even sent him a letter of support when the Rethugs smeared him over his innocent remarks about the FBI letter and Gitmo.)

11. Who Am I To Aruge With A Fellow Blue Stater...LOL
I'll take all four of our Senators...how's that. LOL.

Our local cable access channel occasionally shows a program Senator Durbin produces where he discusses issues, meets with local visitors, chat with other Senators (he had one with Bob Dole...of all people...that was very, very good) and tours around the Capitol.

Well, a year ago, the dream of a White Sox World Championship was about as realistic as hoping to see top Repugnican leadership under attack/indictment. Well if good kharma has come this far, here's hoping things keep going forward for another year. We're due.

Cheers...

:hi:

6. I prefer him to stay silent -
It is definitively a progress rather than criticizing other democrats.
