Some graffiti deserves to live on
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 11:31 PM by SoCalDem

Municipal workers clean a graffiti
against US President George W. Bush
painted on the Brasilian former
President (1956-1961) Juscelino Kubitschek
monument in Brasilia. Bush,
bruised by a political scandal,
traveled to Argentina hoping to polish
the United States' tarnished image
in Latin America and
promote free trade.(AFP/Evaristo Sa)

1. One of the bridges over the Potomac
...used to have this huge KILL PRESIDENT REAGAN graffito. One could easily see it from the Yellow line going between DC and the Pentagon. It was up there from about '85 to 2003, when it was covered by fresh, brightly-colored meaningless scrawl.

Another graffito that lasted 20 years was on a bridge over the Capitol Beltway in just before the Mormon Temple, which read SURRENDER DOROTHY. The Mormons have been keeping it cleaned, but every now and then some little freak puts it back up.
