The Dems seem AWOL since Bush has started his "Counterattack" campaign
Bush has been tossing out a lot of red meat. I have not seen that much of a response since the first campaign stop. He has personally attacked Democratic Senators and all I have seen on TV are statements that have been issued from Democrats. Is this what it comes down to? Is it that the Dems have no repsonse or does Bush has the bully pulpit and the Dems don't get heard? Or is it both?

I am pretty annoyed by the one sided spewing since Friday. What do you all think?

It almost seems like the Libby-indictment-and-shutting-down-of-Senate-gas has run out.

3. I was looking for that but I missed it. Saw the thread on Kerry.
I would have to see what he said. Hopefully it was tough. They have been hammering him with his quotes.

7. He showed the world what a real President is like
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 07:34 PM by bahrbearian
He covered all his bases, very eloquent, but a Little too low key, I wish he could show a little more enthusiasm. But he did very well, along with the rest of them.

26. How does Lieberman not get bounced from the party?
I guess the Dems just can't afford to lose that vote. Other than that I don't see why he is still allowed to be in the party.

6. A statement release is not going to cut it in my book. Someone needs
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 07:34 PM by RSchewe
to get on TV or something. All I have seen since Friday are Republicans reading talking points and hardly any response.

As a matter of fact, the response that I have seen is from just a few political hacks, not actual politicians.

Anyway it is just my impression. If I am wrong, let me know what I may have missed, I would like to see it.

14. The Media is CONTROLLED
They don't carry dems like they do REPUKES....

I don't think that is the DEMS fault and I wish people would framing this issue like it was their fault.

carries it, did that Dem make a sound?

37. "Getting on TV" isn't exactly the easiest task in the world.
The Dems just can't snap their fingers and have the media ready and willing to suspend programming for a press conference.

4. Reid had a statement that seemed to be widely reported today
(Where he said in effect that Bush** had to solve problems in Iraq and provide a plan for withdrawl rather than attacking his critics) It was very firm.

9. Nonsense. Harry Reid and Kennedy almost immediately came out
with a rebuttal, as did Nancy Pelosi. On Cspan every day there has been a strong rebuttal of what he is saying, and I've seen Dems on the news shows. Kennedy gave a strong floor speech the other day about this, Kerry and Dodd gave speeches today, Levin is on Cspan RIGHT NOW talking about it.

I honestly don't know how you could miss them.

I hear it was pretty tough. When I tuned into C-SPAN Levin was speaking. I think he may have been on right before or maybe earlier.

response so far.

They're playing it perfectly. As was the case with his father, George Bush was born with a silver foot in his mouth.

35. That was my feeling until today. My point in the thread was to give my
impression. I wasn't stating anything as fact but instead just trying to get a sense of how people were feeling about this.

Right or wrong my impression was that I was only hearing and seeing mostly BUsh and Repub attacks and not much from the Dems. Maybe I missed some or maybe the news was amping the attack from Bush and the boys, but that was just my sense of things.

has been shameless in these last few days to cover the
dems in a balanced way. They have had republican, after republican
on the airwaves bashing the dems with a few dems sprinkled in.
