Prediction for CORZINE's Senate Pick
Edited on Mon Nov-21-05 10:11 AM by UTUSN
What's with the "the Senate's already got one Cuban-American"? The one they've got is a raving wingnut lunatic. There can't be a DEM Cuban-American, too?

Anyway, this from the Oldest-person-named-"Cindy", a NY Post wingnut who hangs both with the PATAKIs *and* the CUOMOs, very plugged into the cocktail circuit.

JON Corzine's election as N.J. governor creates a senate vacancy that the soon-to-be-ex-senator himself figures to fill. A favorite is Jersey City's Robert Menendez. But: He has problems; the Senate's already got one Cuban-American, Florida's Mel Martinez; and he's a foe of Corzine buddy, former Sen. Bob Torricelli, who once dated Bianca Jagger. A healing move would be Acting Gov. Dick Codey, who has old-shoe Irish appeal. But: Codey's also president of the state senate, a powerful job he won't want to give up even if his wife, Mary Jo, were willing--which she isn't--to live in D.C.

Prediction: Corzine appoints hedge-fund manager Orin Kramer, his Wall Street buddy.

1. I still like the sound of Senator Springsteen!
If the republicans can run hacks like The Gropinator and Sonny Bono with a straight face, surely we can run someone with talent and integrity.

2.  I hope its Kristen Breitweiser
Heard Cody doesnt want it. Kristen should have been appointed to take Max Clellands place on the 9/11 committe. Instead we got stuck with Bob Kerrey who promised not to say a word about their findings until after the election. Big help he was. Anyways Kristen is a lawyer, bright, articulate & of course female...would be nice to add some women to the senate.

3. That would be too good of choice.
Corzine will go with the Wall St guy, but Kirstin would be great.
