Bush let Zarqawi go prior to invasion: Bush's fault he's killing today.

As the US came THIS CLOSE, again, to capturing Zarqawi, let's remember that it was Bush who decided against plans to kill or capture him before the invasion, and allowed Zaquawi to kill hundreds of Americans and Iraqis. Bush decided it was better for his campaign to get his war in Iraq if Zarqawi kept operating in Kurdish controlled areas, as show in this 2004 article.

bush HAD to use the terrorist camp in NORTHERN Iraq, protected by Kurdish troops and the US Air Force, as a reason for attacking the people of Iraq.

Why don't we see this in the .liberal media'? You would think that with Zarqawi in the news every friggin day this would show up too.

I don't recall it even being a point of discussion among frustrated "give em hell Kerry" bloggers.

though I certainly read a number of exposes on the subject. One even quoted someone in the military saying that it would not be good for Bush's war plans if they killed or captured Zarkawi peremptorily.
