1. Something i wanted to post on this Site....
I am too new to start my own thread but this is something i felt i needed to post on this Site... President Bush’s first campaign was based on bring integrity back to the white house. What happened to President Truman's Philosophy of the President is the top in command and he always takes responsibility for what happens to the Nation? With such serious actions as taking our nation to war, with what now seems to be false intelligence, along with other catastrophes during this administration. The President, himself, should not push the blame to the Intel community or to the minority, Democrats, in Washington, but rather take responsibility and do what is right, if that means resigning then so be it. It seems we have gone from "The Buck Stops Here" to "Lets Pass the Buck." Where is the Integrity there?

3. Exactly!
The buck ALWAYS stops with whoever is the president no matter how they got there. They're still the one in charge of the country. They're the one's who decide to go to war and if they aren't sure than it's still their responsibility. Instead of blaming the democrats (who had no power in the first place) he should admit he was wrong about the war and tell the truth about everything and work with the democrats on their plan. But with the Bush neocon group they never admit they're wrong. They'll go to their grave believing that.

4. exactly!!!
.......but as we have seen in the past 6 yrs, Bush never accepts responsibility for anything!! If I had to state a single problem with this administration, that would probably be the one thing that bothers me the most.

BTW, welcome to DU! I'm sure you'll love it here!

6. I Guess the Real Problem Is....
The Right will just spew out the Right wing hatred BS and work the American Public. I.E. Anti Gay Rights and Anti Abortion. IF you throw those issues out there you win the majority of Americans Superficial beliefs and control the Country. We as the Democratic Party need to find a way to work around this and take back washington and get our nation back to a respectable level

5. If he was smart....
Edited on Tue Nov-22-05 03:40 AM by JohnnyRingo
He would make the announcment that "The country's agenda has been hi-jacked by a small group of men headed by....Dick Cheney."

He could demand his resignation and hand over all documents linking the VP to our misguided march to war. Then he could vow to set America back on the course to progress in the 21st century.

Anything he did after that would be like a new honeymoon.

....I said if he was smart.
