    2. I don't think he has much chance of getting support in his own party
so it won't be an issue.

    12. ditto
Anyone who would kiss and hug the idiot-in-chief is NOT anyone I would ever vote for.

McCain has NO SELF RESPECT. None. The BFEE made him out to be crazy from being tortued, made his wife out to be a drug addict and said his adopted little girl was his "black love child." REPREHENSIBLE thing to do and he's still a member of the party that did that to him? WHY?

    7. That's exactly it.
The BFEE resorted to nasty, vile lies about him back in 2000 and he's been kissing their asses ever since - even photographed literally embracing the chimp.

The man is willing to surrender his dignity for what he sees as political advantage. I have no respect for him.

    13. Maybe those Swift Boat guys were correct when they said McCain was the
only POW to actually gain weight while in captivity. That is what John O'Neil's group said about McCain when McCain stood up against them over John Kerry.

    6. "Roberts said it is too early to decide"
This is why he requested the Pentagon inquiry of Feith. It's a stalling tactic, and Rockefeller has said the DoD investigation (of ITSELF) will stall the Senate Select Cmte's by as much as a YEAR.

    snip>
Roberts said it is too early to decide whether or not to interview senior administration officials about their statements. He said that those decisions should be made after the committee completes its report on prewar intelligence, known as phase two of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s investigation into pre-war intelligence.

“That would be premature until we get the report done,” he said.

Roberts has also said that he doesn’t want to subpoena or investigate Feith until the Department of Defense inspector general has finished a review of Feith’s work.

    10. And wasn't it Roberts who said a couple of weeks ago that the
report was already finished? So, which is it?

    8. McCain has figured out which way the wind is blowing.
He will attempt to straddle the fence between looking as if he's on the side of the Democrats and trying to be a Republican so-called leader.

Too little, too late. I thank him for his service, but my contempt for him knows no bounds. He's played the part of a bushie-whipped subservient prop for bush for too long now.

    9. Revenge is a dish best served cold?
Maybe McCain's just been waiting for that moment he can fry Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and George Bush. He's using the Democrats as cover, but hey! Gets the job done!

And no way, no how will I vote for McCain as long as he remains a Republican.
