Need info for this source; GlobalSecurity.org - Is it legit?
Here's a link;

http://www.globalsecurity.org/org/staff/index.html

I'm looking for information and am uncertain of the veracity and origins of this site.

Anyone have a clue?

1. They've been around for a while
John Pike started the group. They've got cool satellite and other images. However, I do tend to think groups like this are all part of the 'noise' machine that helps pump up the public with info during terrorist alerts.

There is a great deal on the aluminum tubes Saddam attempted to purchase. But nothing on the IAEA disputing the utility of those tubes. In fact, after reading through the whole section, I was left with the distinct impression that they were not implying the tubes were sub-standard for a centrifuge.

6. GS Mission statement:
They are (or at least, claim to be :tinfoilhat:) an anti-nuke site. It's not unreasonable to expect them to be paranoid about possible dual-use equipment.

GlobalSecurity.org is focused on innovative approaches to the emerging security challenges of the new millennium. The organization seeks to reduce reliance on nuclear weapons and the risk of their use...

4. The facts are usually OK
They sometimes get a bit carried away with their opinions, but I've never heard of them putting out false information.

7. They never mention the IAEA's dispute over the aluminum tubes.
That's what got me wonderin'.
