Dowd on Letterman: All you need to know is two words: "Cheney's Guilty"
Maureen appeared with David Letterman, and explained BushCo, Judy, Woodward and the Plame issue.

Dowd: ...The problem with Judy was the same problem as Bob Woodward. They just needed a little more adult supervision---You can't just put it in the paper and then let the administration use it to help make the phony case for war.

Dowd explains the entire Fitzgerald case: "You don't have to pay attention to anything that's happening and you only need to remember two words"...Letterman: "uh-huh"

Dowd: "Cheney's guilty."

Dowd on Bush: "...He has Harreit Miers and Condi and Karen Hughes, and he's surrounded by sort of nanny governesses, like a little boy..."

4. I like that too "nanny governesses"
bathroom monitors, aunties, caretakers or you choose.

He is a mommy's boy according to babs. http://www.counterpunch.org/notears.html

we interviewed Barbara Bush, one of the nastier women we have ever encountered in the course of journalistic business. The way weread it, W as a kid was ranged solidly with Mom, marooned in the oil patch as George Sr galloped around the globe. You doubt Mom was angry? Please explain why she decided to look like her husband's mother. W is a Mommy's boy, as is evidenced by his habit of hauling around his "security pillow" wherever he goes.

3. Problem with this is
Mo went along with everyone else in the build up to the war. She shilled with the best of 'em........ she has no credibility as far as I'm concerned.

11. I'm not such a purist that I cannot accept an honest change
in out look, while neoconJudy is still shilling for the war.

Frankly, I never read Mo before she came out with shrubworld.

She was an early adapter and was speaking out against this mess while others were parsing the meaning of the war resolution.

18. Dragon Lady Dowd has not changed; she's still conceited.
She supports whatever she thinks makes HER look good. She has no dedication or love for anyone except what she sees in the mirror.

When people criticized her recent blathering book, they were called anti-feminist and "frightened males." In reality they were simply people exercising what Dowd has rarely shown - sound judgment and integrity.

She is only different from the media whores or "presstitutes" in that she isn't willing to be loyal to one political party or set of principles. Her only loyalty is to herself.

about how Huffington made her change to refute the dark side. She CLEARLY explained WHY she changed, and how she saw such hypocrisy and criminality in the rightwing. There is a great deal of clarity and sincerity in Huffington's transformation. She won't be shifting positions again if the winds change directions. She saw it all first hand, and had an epiphany. Much like how Dennis Kucinich realized (with the help of his liberal female colleagues) that even if he doesn't believe in abortion in his own personal life (and religion -- Catholic), he CHANGED to realize that it should be a WOMAN'S CHOICE, and not something outlawed by government across the board.

5. Great video! Is Maureen married?
Kudos to Dave for having her on, and for bringing up all the important topics.

"Investigative reporting is not stenography" - Maureen Dowd on the Judith Miller story.

"You can't just put it in the paper and let the adminstration use it to make the phony case for war".

"We don't need men anymore to reproduce, or to refinance"

David Letterman (re GWB) "He's gonna leave the Republican party in a mess. The administration is crumbling. Is not crumbling? Is crumbing? Which is it?"

6. No, but I read she has dated the entire NYT newsroom.
I have sort of a crush on her despite her trashing of Al Gore.

7. Are they accepting resumes?
Since there's apparently no necessary qualifications to call yourself a reporter these days, I think I'm highly qualified. As far as dating Maureen, I think I'm highly qualified for that too. ;-)

9. I think she is fantastic and tough on the whole lot of 'em
she say's it with a smile and a soft voice, unlike that shrill and loud mouth KKKulture...but she is more effective for the truth than KKKultuer is for the extreme right.

17. here is how it gets worse
he's a twisted little boy, one who doesn't know how to play well with others, and always has to get his way, even if he has to hurt them...

Especially if he GETS to hurt them, that is...

And a lying c*cksucker to boot, as well...he takes glee in using his skills learned as a cheerleader (actually, the ONLY thing he knows) to mess with our minds...

Hell is too good for the likes of this repugnant turd...

19. Agreed
He's not only a twisted little boy but thats just how the right-wing treat him.

Many, many right-wingers disagree with him, but he's treated like the slow kid in a family, "oh, that's just little Georgie, don't mind him, he doesn't really know what he's doing."
