3. Condi and Allison Barber must've talked about ratcheting up the propaganda
machine. I thought it was already going full-throttle.

The Bushies have "Jeff Gannon"'s throughout the military communication system--paper, radio, TV. They've got it covered...all but the letters section.

4. And THAT is how I know Stripes is on the "take"

They also send viruses to those whose views they don't appreciate. I now only send them a Yahoo/hotmail address, whenever I complain.

7. And, while you're at it, catch THIS news story...
Coinless slot machines — popular in stateside gambling meccas such as Atlantic City, N.J., and Las Vegas — are now coming to overseas U.S. Navy bases, say Morale, Welfare and Recreation officials, in hopes of fattening MWR budgets.

Yep...let's find a way to fatten the Navy's budget out of the pockets of the enlisted personnel! :grr:

9. The DoD introduces gum into the formation--to fight tooth decay
(one wonders what experimental drug is in this new product), only to promote gambling addiction behind the scenes.

pathetic

12. Hey, I liked the slot machines at the NCO club
I was old enough, responsible enough, and if I wanted to play, I played. If you complain about slots in one place you gotta complain about them everywhere!

13. I knew a few "responsible" professionals who couldn't pay their rent
because of the slot machines, and they were getting an LQA~!

17. You can't blame the machines though
I mean, I know plenty of people who have a serious alcohol problem, but that shouldn't mean I can't have a drink when I want. I know people who drive recklessly, doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to use a car to get to work. I'm just saying we can't tailor everything to suit those among us who behave the worst.

20. The military has enough problems dealing with huge phone bills
and other over-extensions among the troops than to have to take on
an(other) addiction that can easily be averted.

I don't advocate telephone removal, but when it's abused, the COs have been known to curtail service.

Slot machines are not a necessity. The O'clubs are hoping to entice those w/addictions, and they make out "like bandits."

We could always blame the person w/the addiction, I suppose.

Because of other peoples addictions. If we do that, where does it stop?

8. From the article:
" '...while they were shoving the broomstick up my ass and sticking my face in pig shit, I wished I had a camera, because it was times like these, and friends like these, that I would always want to remember and cherish.'"

(satire alert).

22. What no picture of the Fuhrer and crusty Dick???
I went into a VA office a few months back and there of the wall as big as a life sized picture of Adolf Hitler, was a big glossy picture of the AWOL pretender pResident! I'll bet if George Patton came back he'd SLAP every Repig in Washington for being cowards and shirkers of their duties. I don't think George Patton would approve of Shrubs 299 days a year on vacations, while the nation is at war with the "Evil Doers" and Terra-ists.

Just get me some socks and shirts that don't fit, to add to my collection and forget the propaganda photos...PLEASE!
