1. He seems to be although I don't agree with him on many issues
He does seem sincere.

2. Have a look at his whole record.
If I recall correctly, he was part of the impeachment team (with Hyde, Barr et al) in the House during the Clinton administration.

On the other hand, as a senator, he has made a strong effort to engage in bipartisan legislation and so forth.

My theory is that he means to be in the Senate for the long run and knows he has to build alliances and a reputation for being able to talk turkey. I suspect he also has some principles, though I don't have an unquestioning trust in him.

Stay tuned.

3. He is awesome on torture issue
and for real there. He's a former JAG officer. If you saw him today he left NO wriggle room.

I suspect he is honorable in standing for what he believes in, but I sure disagree with some of what he believes in. He was the leader in amendment getting habeas corpus taken away from those prisoners last month and I don't understand how that is right in his eyes.

But man is he good on the torture issue. No torture now, later, OR exemption for torture already done and no right for presidential pardon.

How sensible he was, explaining it calmly and firmly.

10. Perhaps--so why is he so against habeas corpus?

13. I don't have a clue
Watching the debates on habeas corpus I couldn't stand him.
Watching him with Clinton impeachment I couldn't stand him.

Watching him on torture, he's awesome.I hate what we have done with torture so much and I am glad there are Republicans so against it because the minority party alone can't do a thing,

4. Lindsey Graham is one of the people mentioned as receiving
money in the Cunningham-Department of Defense money diversion scandal. He has his moments but he lives three feet up corporate America's ass along with the rest of them.

5. Lindsay Graham was one of the infamous
"house managers" of the Clinton impeachment debacle. He's also an insufferable blowhard.

6. I was impressed with what he had to say today on MTP
He admitted mistakes, said the pukes need to pull their latest ad slamming the Dems and talked about his support of the torture bill. He kept focusing on the big picture being more important than the negative rhetoric.

12. He's expecting to be McCain's VP pick - But, I expect his closet will get
opened by others wanting the VP slot.

11. he is awful on most issues
but he may make the difference in whether the U.S. tortures people or not. Funny how that works.
