Serial Killer Confesses to 30,000 Murders; Receives Applause
Making the Green One Red: The Confession of George W. Bush

Serial Killer Confesses to 30,000 Murders; Receives Applause
"I done kilt me 10 times as many as old Osama ever done," Exults Bush

From the New York Daily News: "I would say 30,000, more or less, have died as a result of the initial incursion and the ongoing violence against Iraqis," Bush said..."I made a tough decision. And knowing what I know today, I'd make the decision again."

Says it all, doesn't it? Again, by Bush's own confession, the war really wasn't about any of the ostensible reasons he offered before the invasion. Because even if those reasons lacked all substance -- which even Bush now acknowledges is the case -- he would make that decision again.

So what was the war for? Profits. Power. Petrochemicals. And the need of weak, soul-damaged men for violence and death to assert their "dominance" and maintain their illusion of superiority.

1. Great words from a great leader.
It wasn't just his words, but the way he said them. So glib - as if he were talking about the weather - and so proud of himself.

The worst part of it was that no one in the room called him on this. He basically said he knows he got bad intel, killed a city full of innocent people, and despite it all even if he knew in advance there were no WMD and no ties to Al Qaeda, he'd do it again. No one asked why we were there, why more Americans would be maimed or killed, and why more Iraqis would have to suffer under our influence.

There is no good reason for us to be there, but bush is proud of his exploits and is happy to let the killing continue.

2. the truly frightening thing is that he admits he'd have gone ahead
with his war even if it was somehow made plain to him that the centerpiece of his rationale for invading was a concocted hoax.

Oh, wait, he DID know that. And plunged ahead anyway.

He seemed to be saying 'there's 30,000 iraqis dead but hey, not even a tenth of that number on our side have died, so it's ok!"

oh, and to say otherwise would mean he'd have to admit he made a mistake! Never happen!

Orwell would be amazed at this double and triple speak.

6. You have a real point about no one calling him on these statements.
If we really had that "liberal media" that the right wing is always crying about, they would already be crying for impeachment. Better yet, Bush would have never been elected.

I find it terrifying that Bush would do it all again, knowing what he knows now. What is wrong with this POS? When this type of attack is made in other countries, we call it genocide and revile the people responsible.

5. We have to kill more so those 30,000 would not have died in vain!

7. And what is even more infuriating
Is that it is apparent, from multiple solid sources, that Bushboy is lowballing that estimate. Most knowledgable people put the Iraqi death toll around 100,000.

8. Yes. Since it's not important enough to Bush to even keep count
of Iraqi civilians killed, they can pick whatever numbers they choose. Just like the intelligence (or lack thereof) that got us into this mess, they can cook the numbers of casualties. I often wonder if the casualty figures on our own troops is accurate.

9. I love how Murtha spoke in Philly an hour after Bush
He found another hotel downtown close to where Bush spoke. We need to do this with every single Bush public appearance

10. I think the reason for this war is pretty much spelled out in PNAC
Iraq was weak, hungry, very little military strength, in a strategic location and lots of oil. Just what is needed by the WHIG to further their world dominance
