I ask because, in addition to having some really funny bits, it has THE BEST Bush impersonator alive.

This guy has the voice, the mannerisms, chuckles, everything, down pat, and the speech he gave just totally humiliated Bush. We need to make this guy a star.

Go here and click the President Bush video link: http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/merry_f_in_christmas/videos/show_clips/index.jhtml

1. I watched some of it,
and, as always, he bored me.

He's not very clever - I don't see "attitude" as talent - and his "angry" schtick wore thin a long time ago. I always watch him wherever he is, but he's always boring.

2. But did you see the Bush impersonator?
Check the video if you missed it. It's really impressive.

9. You know ..........
after Will Ferrell - who NAILED Fuckface - no one does it for me. Ferrell is my gold standard on that one.

Well, when Jon Stewart does the Fuckface Cackle, it's not bad - but he looks more like Cheney when does that.

If you want to watch really brilliant talent, see if you can find any DVDs or CDs of a man named Bill Hicks. He's the man Leary and Bill Maher stole their acts from when Hicks was terminally ill.

Hicks was a holy man - in the best way - a truthteller, with an incredible vision.

13. But Hicks ripped off Carlin
And Carlin ripped off Lenny Bruce. That's okay... no stand-up comic since Pryor's prime in the 70's has been that groundbreaking.

I like Bill Hicks, but he is NOT the original "visionary" his rabid followers claim. His death enhanced his legend, like JFK or Jim Morrison. So saying Leary ripped him off doesn't carry much sting. They ALL ripped someone off, since Lenny.

14. I agree
It's all derivative, and you forgot Mort Sahl, another giant.

However, I never thought of him as a visionary. Hardly. I did see him as a comedian with the gift of clarity at a time when other comics were doing nothing but schtick.

My intent was never to sting, by the way, and I'm not sure where you got that.

But, if you know the history of Maher and Leary, and their connection with Hicks, when none of them had made it big, except that Hicks was huge in the U.K., you'd see how they were craven in their apeing of him. Leary and Maher were doing very, very different acts until they found out that Hicks was dying.

I have no knowledge of any "legend" involving Hicks. He was Bill Hicks, and the memorial his family has created is quite tribute enough.

You shouldn't be so defensive. It's OK to like someone Denis Leary. It's OK.

It's also OK to regard him as a talent-free sham, as I do.

8. It has been playing a lot.
I've caught parts of it a few times...if you make a habit of watching the daily show, colbert report, and south park, as I do, you can't help but come across it.

4. I watched it. Funny stuff. The only thing you know it isn't Bush
because the guy imitating him acts wa-y-y-y-y-y-y too sober and smart to be Chimpy. Dead give away. He does have the mannerisms down, tho.

Be sure and watch it if you haven't caught it yet.

5. Why doesn't one of these Web site watchers on
MSNBC, CNN, etc pick up on my Merry Fitzmas Tree?

I hate their "web reports", always bs, there's something SOLID they can report on :)

"I wanted a Fitzmas Tree ever since I heard the term invented on the Web, and NOW I have one, and you can too..

YOU can actually DECORATE YOUR OWN FITZMAS TREE, by dragging and dropping Ornaments on the FITZMAS TREE - if an Ornament sticks to your "hand" it may be because of the slimy people encased within, just give it another mouse click on the tree to shake it off. The first flash can be found here:

http://www.tbtmradio.com/flash/merryfitzmas.swf

But there are two Flashes that interact with each other - one is the Fitzmas Tree itself, with a box FULL of decorations, the decorations being the Subjects of Indictments, Investigations, etc - something your Right Wing brother-in-law might also be interested in knowing, lots of facts

If you click (click all over the page, lots of surprises on it) on the TITLE's of the Flashes you can go between the Tree itself, and another Flash that will load up with all the Decorations and an explanation of WHO they are, and WHAT they did.. for folks that don't know much about the Plame Outing they can get educated on the Ornaments and then click on back to the Tree and Decorate the Hell out of it

The first link goes to the Fitzmas Tree itself, but like I said, you can click to the other Flash for more info, or a pal can get more info and Trim the Tree after.

You can check out the Ornaments information at this link secondly (but maybe miss some surprises where the Presents are in the first link) HERE:

http://www.tbtmradio.com/flash/merryfitzmasornaments.swf

In case you're wondering what that building is in the background, it's the HAGUE, I thought it rather appropriate - and the guys in ORANGE, well, I think you'll recognize them

And don't forget to open the presents under the FITZMAS TREE, I wrapped them special just for YOU."

7. The impersonator was uncanny - especially the sheepish smile...
The show was not bad either.

11. The animated Charlie Brown Christmas parody
had tears rolling down our faces.

And you're right. This Bush impersonator was even better than Ferrell, we thought.

15. I've seen Merry Christmas Charlie Brown dozens of times, and that
parody was spot on. Even the voices were close. I was really impressed.
