Nasty piece of goods named Lofton on Washington Journal debating
Winkler from the Methodist church about whether the government should help people in need or whether they should be forced to depend on churches. Former republican and like I said, a real nasty piece of goods.

1. Lofton seems allied with the ultra-right Constitution Party
He's an "orthodox Presbyterian," which is where Christian Reconstructionists get the bulk of their adherents. He kinda sounds like one, but I dunno.

8. Reconstructionists are a scary bunch
Read Margaret Atwood's A Handmaid's Tale for an approximation of what a Reconstructionist government would look like. Ew.

2. Promote the general welfare!
is in the Constitution, but I guess Lofton hasn't read that any better than the Bible. Winkler got a good shot in at the end, recommending C-Span pick from only mainstream denominations in the future. I could hardly listen to this debate, Lofton was so offensive.

4. Lofton was nasty
He sure got his panties in a bunch when a caller told him his beliefs were immoral.

6. Yeah. That and Winkler's refusal to be nasty just like him
were two of the higher points.

7. Jesus said, "Give your shirt off your back..."
But don't give up your money ! No taxes for these folks...The "government" is a separate entity but the "church" is not?

10. Former Repuke Propaganda Enabler
He was spewing propaganda for the Repuke party from 1970 until 1973 - the Nixon years. Says it all about this asshat.

My blood pressure was rising fast listening to the crap spewing from Lofton's mouth. What a cold-hearted piece of shit.

It is the government's policies causing the crisis of home heating this winter. I want my tax dollars helping the families who will be affected adversely by these policies.

BTW - Lofton does not think the Preamble of the Constitution is part of it. Ugh.
