Barbara Bush was on Larry King and
they were talking about her new book. They didn't talk about it much, just about how wonderful her sons were. The interesting thing is there were no callers. Usually he has callers with questions for the guest. I was waiting as I was sure there would be some critical questions, but oh no! CNN protected her as well as the Secret Service.

2. This is PR for her son.
Not about the book. It's all about the campaign. And maybe about making some money. (She's a Bush, after all.)

3. were there no callers at *all*?
That would be very telling, if so. It means that the only calls were got were the critical ones. Even when Larry has panels full of talking heads like Nancy Grace and other attorneys, he takes calls.

9. No calls at all! Larry never even mentioned calls
The fact that there were no calls was like the elephant in the living room!

10. you can be certain that goiter girl made that a condition
no way she'd EVER take phone calls from the starving masses.

her husband didn't take calls when he was on.

only the most highest of the high are spared the ignominy of having to interact with the peasants

6. No callers means no one could call the Old Bat up
and tell her that her sons were actually afterbirths that she slapped around in between bouts on the golf course.
Blackhearted bitch.

8. The best...and most revealing part of the interview
was when she said that she and her husband get very upset when they hear / read criticism about Junior. :D

Too, I remember recently that Poppy said he liked CNN's Crossfire...but, he no longer watches when Paul Begala is on! Of course, Paul got a big kick out of that remark!

So, let's keep the protests and criticism flowing...if Junior is not listening...well, at least, we can be assured that his evil parents are! I'm sure we can continue to give them heartburn, nightmares...and good 'topics' for dinner conversation!

11. I thought it was most revealing that good friend Larry is planning
on taking the next parachute jump WITH Poppy. He can do hundreds of shows on Clinton's dick, but he can't muster more than one show a month on any political matter the last three years. Unless, of course, Rove needs him.

13. She said we are all dead. Anyone who criticizes her children is DEAD.

Hmmm.... Does someone here know who I am in case I, or one of my children, disappear? Anyone?

I think we know for sure where George's vindictive nature comes from.

edit: I am so grammar challenged, apologies tendered.

16. I thought the most revealing part
was when she said she's had such a great life, now all she does is worry about others. But then she didn't give any examples, and I didn't hear any evidence that she worries about anyone whose last name isn't Bush. Of course I didn't watch the whole interview, and she'd have had to say she works for Amnesty or something like that to impress me. I didn't believe or agree with anything I heard her say.

12. CNN has become worse than FAUX in just the last two weeks or so
has anybody else noticed this? I mean, it's seemed terribly obvious to me. Ever since the Shrubster got his undies all bunched up about the media coverage of his little "nation under destruction".

Who owns CNN now? Who's the so-called brain behind this miserable enterprise?

15. Yes, I believe they have gotten worse
I find myself watching MSNBC almost all the time time. I switch off most of the time when the worst offender is on, Scarborough Country, and still enjoy Aaron Brown and Crossfire. Strangely enough, I think Blitzer has gotten better. I go back and forth, but am watching MSNBC more and more.

18. I am so in awe of
you guys that can actually watch CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC...I cannot watch any of them w/o shouting @ the TV - which I equate w/ 'nearly out of touch w/ reality' or looking 4 something to throw, which will damage my TV. After reading many sources on the internet, I find corporate media 'news' shallow, uninformed and not news! How do U do it? Any pointers?

24. YES!!!
My Gawd, I just said that to my husband today.

For about the past month or so ALL the cable networks have become more heavily biased against Democrats in general, IMHO.

For example there have been more appearances and commentary from Republicans. Democrats get about half the time.

Crossfire is the only show where Democrats seem to be dominent and that's because of the forceful personalities of Paul Begala and James Carville.

Jack Welch doesn't own CNN anymore but I think it was more balanced when he did, and that's not saying much.

The people of this country kicked her cottage cheese, over priviledged ass to the curb on election night in '92 in her little book.

... and listening to Larry wax rhapsodic about the Reagan and future Bush burial plots. It's really quite disturbing.
