Is Bush Collecting The Tax Cut Back As Contributions?
Bush is expected to raise $200 million dollars in campaign contributions. This is obviously dangerous for every Democrat in America, regardless of you preference. Recently, John Kerry suggested that Bush is getting back a "rebate" from the tax cuts he so generously pulled from our enormous deficit.

I think this is a fantastic idea that we should all latch onto. If everyone keeps hammering about this tax cut "rebate," by the time Bush starts rolling out his many, many, many, TV ads attacking the Dem candidate, Americans will think "rebate" every time one pops up.

What do you think?

---

"Kerry...denounced Bush's prodigious fundraising -- the president's campaign expects to raise $200 million to spend between now and the Republican National Convention -- calling it a payoff for three tax cuts that Kerry said were aimed primarily at the rich. "I think President Bush has basically been running around the country collecting his rebate for the tax cut he gave people and I think it's polluting American politics to the worst degree," he said."

1. Of course he is.
You don't pour billions of dollars and untold hours of work in order to alternately steal, defraud, and destroy a Great Republic, turning into your Imperial Footstool by being squeamish about where you take your legal monies.

(now, as far as the vast Bushevik treasure of nonlegal monies from CIA drug sales, etc., I couldn't say)

These Imperial Tax Cuts are a very legal system of bribes and kickbacks.

Not that RICO-defying conspiracies by Busheviks isn't "above the law" in the Empire.

2. of course.
Money laundering 101.

Joe Conason wrote about this theme when Bush was still governor, because he did something even worse in Texas.

Bush privatized the management of the endowment fund of Texas' university system. Privatizing meant that meetings of the board of directors could be private and the functions secret.

Then the board invested the assets of the endowment in Republican entities.

Then those entities donated heavily to Bush campaign.

The university's endowment was looted, for Bush's gain.

3. Naah -- Bu$h* is only getting back a COMMISSION

on his tax cuts for the rich.

Bu$h* expects to raise $200 million or so in contributions; the deficit (largely due to his tax cuts) is on the order of $450 BILLION; at that rate, Bu$h's commission is 0.05%.

And the rich get to keep the other 99.95% for themselves.

Amazing, isn't it, how little it takes to buy the Rethugnicns...

Vitruvius

P.S: I do like the way Kerry raised the issue, I hope he keeps at it, and I hope the rest of the Democratic establishment takes it up as well.
