He is right when the terrorists hate America for its freedoms.
Let's count the freedoms he refers to:
* Freedom to steal * Freedom to exploit * Freedom to cheat * Freedom to harass
Corporate America, WHICH IS AMERICA AS THEY HAVE THE POWER AND WE, THE PEOPLE, DON'T, is the compilation of all of the forementioned evils. Corporate america, which is the only america bush gives a frick about, is what matters. Anything else is inconsequential unless it revolves around Bush's* whims and fantasies.
Can a trustworthy, honorable, respectable corporate america (yet alone AMERICA) ever be rebuilt? I'm not sure about America, but anybody with a grain of sense should never be able to forgive corporate america.
It's easy to put labels on people and blame them for all sorts of wild things, but until you see their targets and their motives AND look at your own actions and then try to find positive ways of changing things, not a damn thing ever gets changed and the cycle of needless hate continues. (Of course, how do you convince the animals to live peacable is another matter...)
I cannot condone the vile actions of the terrorists - violence is NEVER a solution and only animals resort to violence. But "drawing lines", telling people "you are either for me or against me", sloppily killing thousands in failed attempts to purportedly "find and bring the perpetrators to justice", going after people you hate using the pretense of "we'll make it look like he's going to kill us all right now", and acting like an outlandish immature bully like Bush has only exacerbates the problem. How anybody agreed with the knucklehead* after that speech is beyond me, but at least people have seen Bush* for what he truly is since. Well, some of them - the true sheep of the population will sleep through it all. More surprisingly, how we haven't had any more terrorist attacks is beyond me. The way Bush* mangles and bungles everything he so much glances at, I'm amazed the Earth isn't a burnt radioactive cinder right now.
