Sean Penn back to Iraq?
Found this on the Sludge Report. Penn might go to Iraq as a correspondent for the San Fran Chronicle. Sorry if a dupe.

Bad idea for Sean. I love him as an actor and would hate for him to come back in a bag courtesy of some unexplained incident courtesy of Bush Co.

1. My husband sat next to him
Last year when Sean first went to Iraq, my husband was going to visit family in Syria (the first time he had seen them in nearly two decades). At first my husband didn't even know who we was; he knew he looked familiar and finally had the nerve to ask him if he was in fact Sean Penn. He was really impressed with him. A hollywood actor sitting in the economy section?! He was reading a book about the history of Iraq. Of course, being Sean Penn, he didn't want to be bothered (understandable). He was traveling with someone and they both slept through most of the flight to Europe.

4. Wow, that's amazing
Everything I've read on Penn points to a very reclusive existence. To think that the man who was once married to Madonna and hounded by paparrazi is now flying economy. And he's still a MEGA star. Sounds like he's down to earth.

Cool story.

2. This is in the current "Entertainment Weekly"

The editor of the Chronicle offered to send him there to write a journal. Even gave him a press pass.

Great article, BTW. Sean really tells it like it is.

3. You must have read my mind
because my first thought was that he would have some sort of "accident."

5. Oh no....he'd better watch out.
They're gonna kill him one of these days, if he's not careful. In Iraq it's easy to make it look like an accident, too.

6. Penn is also true to his acting craft
taking roles for merit and staying away from big budget garbage. I can't tell you how much I've grown to respect that guy.
