3. How can you get up the energy for doing that?
I'm trying to give the guy a chance, but tonight Joe's delivery is at an all-time low. He's "working" the audience and camera too hard. None of this is coming off naturally for him tonight.

Despite what some here might think, Joe can be perky at times. Tonight is not one of those times.

5. He had a good line:
"Bush said he would 'change the tone in Washington.' Remember that? He did. The tone is the worst it's been in my 15 years there."

He sounds like he's ready to throw in the towel, I think. I've heard him before and he's sounded pretty good.

7. Agreed
I'll not hide my distaste for many things he's done in the past, but tonight seems a bit different and I even feel sorry for him. He's just not "there" tonight. There's no "umph" in his voice. I don't know how to explain it, but your "throw in the towel" statement is close to what I was thinking.

8. He's got the...

"I feel sorry for him vote"...Then again I can't see anyone voting for a candidate for that reason...

There is something truly pathetic about him...I myself can't help but feel sorry for him...Partly because so many here hate him (understandably however) and even I can't really stand his sanctimonious attitude and whoring for pharma and other corporations...Of course, I kinda feel sorry for Gephardt and Daschle...Maybe because of the fact that they can't really fight...There's absolutely no agression in any of these guys...

I know Joe could really change the tone in Washington...He'd simply put them all to sleep!

14. McCain is popular in New Hampshire.
McCain also sucked up a lot of independant voters there, which Lieberman is angling for.

20. He's been running comercials where

former McCain voters are praising him Joe.

I don't know if it such a good idea to say that the conservatives are endorsing him. I understand the point, but the message is a little to the right of center.

No?

11. The only thing he's said so far that caught my attention...
was "we got to make that PIE grow."

I immediately went to the kitchen to get a slice of left over apple pie from Thanksgiving that I had forgotten about. :9

I listen to all of them, when and if a I can to see what they have to say about issues and other candidates.

And tonight ~ he just mentioned Dean and his records being sealed. He's really been taking a lot of pot shots at his fellow dems lately. :(

These primaries are bringing out the worst in all of us.

And I really don't like Joe...I really don't.

But tonight was actually hard for me to watch, and not because it was awful or material that I disagree with....he just seemed so low tonight. It was sad to watch. Something was gone from him tonight.
