Unless the Dem Candidates join Forces, they will lose. The Pubs are pickin
them off one by one.

Why birds fly in a flock, gather in a covey?

Why wildebeasts stay in herds?

Or fish in schools?

Could it be....Safety in numbers?

Com'n guys, put that ego aside, Join up with an unbeatable DEM Game Plan. Go Green(land), Go Blue(clean oceans), Go Common Sense. Forget the minutae, the small shit, this is what the Pubs want you to do, stay apart, stay weak. stay defeated.

1. I'm reminded of what Clark said
when asked if Dean won the nomination, what would he do. He said he'd work his tail off for him. Many here could take that advice, but I know that is unlikely.

11. Alexander Dumas
And, he was a Haitian mulatto who didn't visit France until after his book had been written.
The French so loved his book that they invited him to France (which he accepted) and then he wrote the 'sequel', The Man in the Iron Mask.

30. I have had sushi
when in Japan and here in California. California sushi is expensive and not very good. Japanese sushi is inexpensive and quite good. As a Japanese sailor once told me: in America, order steak. Order pizza. Order hamburgers. Never order sushi. In Japan, order sushi. Never order steak.

I will not eat sashimi unless you tell me what it is.

Cut into small chunks/slices and garnished with wasabi, Japanese Horse radish, and shoyu. sometimes with ginger root too. Since we have many Japanese living here, we have many fine restaurants and sushi bars.

But, its ok, we also have many fine Pacific Rim Restaurants to satisfy your taste buds.

Are you in the Bay area or in S Cal?

14. Its all too easy, just takes concentration
Just ask Tiger, Ernie Ells, or Sammy Sosa. Keep your eye on the Ball.

The Pubs game plan is to keep us distracted and fragmented with all kinds of shit.

They will lie, cheat, and steal whenever they can get away with it. Even push it to the edge.

Our candidates must hold fast to the ideals and general philosophy of a Benevilent Society, one that addresses the future also and the Planet. Essentially, we should address the concerns of the Green and that of the Blue. If we plan for our kids, and the grandkids, we have planed for ourselves.

Come, we gather wood for the pow wow, sm00000ke the pipe of PEACE. Its all good.

12. Aaarrgggghhhh! It's a Primary!!!
Am I the only person here who remembers contested primaries in the past? Candiates compete against each other. They fight. They argue. They call each other mean names. It's politics.

Come, kiddies. Sit on Uncle Stevie's lap for story time. Once upon a time, there were two candidates for president. One had a whacky idea to cut taxes in order to increase revenue. The other candidate thought that idea was so whacky he gave it a whacky name. That name was "voodoo economics." That made the first candidate very very angry.

The first candidate was so angry that he later asked the second candidate to be his vice president and together they beat the incumbent like a red-headed stepchild. Later that second candidate became president after he had to put up with a rather nasty primary. He was later beaten by someone who was made to look like a Springer Show guest during the primary.

This is what is supposed to happen!!

16. I agree, this is what is supposed to happen. All I suggest is a new
approach towards the goal of success. Unite in a competitive way beyond that of whats going on now. Find a way to put ourselves with better odds.

As it is, by the time we have a nominee, it might be too little too late. and I could be wrong on this... but its the odds thing, we should be looking for MORE favorable odds.

13. Am I missing the obvious?
It seems to me that the candidates can hardly "unite" to defeat Bush until there is, in fact, a nominee. While I wish the candidates could remain civil to each other -- most are not too negative. The trash talking animus is among vocal supporters. Many of whom spend a good deal of time online and nothing succeeds in discussion boards, chats, etc. like excess.

It would be nice if we could argue for and against the candidates without vitriol -- I learn something all the time from the more reasoned give and take. I support a candidate, after a lengthy analysis of the options but I'm not one of those my guy (or gal) is a savior and the opponents are demons types.

17. We have a pool of talented people. Why waste 8 to get 1
As I said, the Pubs are slowly picking them off the fence one by one.

Larry Sabato's Dirty Little Secrets explains. Because it means power, ego, and money, the Pubs will do anything, short of criminal, to win.

The DEms need a fresh new novel way of attracting success. What could be better than a real show of UNITY from the get go?

Then start a letter writing campaign and tell Nader to knock his crap off!

It's the lower tier of Braun, Sharpton and Kucinich that are taking away from the debates and creating a circus atmosphere within the news. They are in this to create name recongnition, nothing more.

42. they can only do that once there is a standard bearer
right now they are supposed to be competing but they should not have to have competed for SO LONG. They said all they had to say policy wise in the first 8 weeks. YOu can only say the same thing so many ways and then you have to do something and its escalating sniping. It was predictable and harmful. Worst still was Clark. He should have gotten in when the others did or stayed home. Very divisive.

Nope we're screwed till January/February, we'll have to see about kissing and making up then. Won't be easy.

37. How do we "join forces"?
We can only pick one nominee to run for the presidency. How exactly do we "join forces" before the primaries? If the candidates don't compete against each other and expose each other's strengths and weaknesses so we can decide which one to vote for?

Do you think its smart to go unprepared into the general elections when the repugs start firing up their mud-cannons?

The DNC, the States, The Dem Party, the Grass roots, all should have a say in forging what is percieved as the best team to put forth for the election.

All I am saying is there should be better ways to choose our main team that is not crippling to the Party. We should be looking for them. Its called:

40. How about Darwinism?
I mean the primary process is a way to beat up the candidates to see who can take it and still come out on top. Survival of the fittest. In many ways it's good that this happens because - hopefully - the candidate chosen will be strong enough to win.

The last time I recall having so many candidates was in '92, and guess what? We won.

Of course, once the primaries draw to a close, we need to close ranks around the nominee. I know I'll support any democrat over *.
