Why is Karl Rove perceived to
be invincable by so many people? I see him mentioned in so many posts especially when positive posts are coming forth on the candidates someone will post what Karl will do as to slap one back into reality of fearing the giant. I don't get it what is the deal?

1. I think he is hugely overrated....
There is only so much one person can do with smoke and mirrors and I think KKKarl's usefulness has come to an end. He made a polyester purse out of a sow's ear once, but I wouldn't count on it happening again. I think even Cheney and Rove have to know that the moron they've been puppeteering cannot be regurgitated over and over again and sold to the American people because they dressed him up in a flight suit and stuck a flag in his hand.

2. It's not so much Karl but the control of most of the corporate media
that can't be ignored. Karl is ruthless more than brilliant. Anyone can seem brilliant with most of the media in your control. The ruthlessness means he will not give an inch and use EVERY advantage he can. We have to put up the candidates who can withstand that scrutiny. That's the reality of it.

3. How true, BLM.
Karl Rove is more thuggish than creative. He probably has a staff of creative thinkers who come up with this stuff, files it away, and then he pulls it out when the timing is right.

It's also important to recall that his position, rather than the man, holds an unbelievable amount of power. The media bows down to him.

It never ceases to amaze me when my own newspaper the Oregonian, prints its own editorials praising Bush, and then just 6 inches off to the right, is letter after letter to the Editor, blasting the same man. This goes on every day. So it does help to have the media in your back pocket.

Also, we should never forget we are dealing with a professional. I was anticipating Bush's visit to London with excitement. At last, I thought, now everyone will see how hated Bush really is.

I prayed silently for massive demonstrations and lots of media coverage. I got my wish, but the American People were distracted by a little lunatic by the name of Michael Jackson. The timing was just right. The next day, I realized that this whole thing was planned far in advance. Notice they never even served Jackson with kind of accusation. It was a complete ruse.

So -- never underestimate him. And expect ANYTHING.

4. And that was a tall tale. When you get a real life comparison
post again.
