Graydon Carter: Media Hero
I don't believe I've seen the name Graydon Carter on this forum. I didn't even know who he was until I read "How King of New York took battle to the Great Polariser" (The Guardian: http://media.guardian.co.uk/presspublishing/story/0,7495,1101854,00.html)

I'm impressed!

One item that really caught my attention: Advertisers have been paying top dollar for space opposite the page where Graydon bashes Bush, because it gets so much traffic. I've long suspected that Bush hatred would be marketable.

Shortly after September 11, all the advertising was suddenly pulled from my website - I think because I publicly criticized Bush. Yet my traffic continued to increase. (I'm referring to my general audience websites; this was before I launched Jail4Bush.)

Ever since, I've been working to learn new web design skills and redesign all my sites. Since I'm unemployed, I'm obviously hoping to get my advertising back. Though it may sound shallow, activists have to eat, too, and I think it would be beyond cool if we could beat Bush at his own game, getting corporations to essentially pay for our anti-Bush websites!

Hmmmmm... it would be interesting to create the ultimate Reagan-bashing website, just to see how much traffic it attracts...
