1. Good for you !!
It is indeed a sad day.
I worry for my Grandmother. She pretty much relies on Medicade and Social Security to live. She already runs out of money by the 5th of every month and can't afford most of her meds. I shudder to think about what she is going to do now.

2. All the politicians better..........
look out for 2004 vote!! Listening to C-Span (the house) people are mad. And guess what? They're mad at BOTH parties. But more so with the Cons. I was listening to a pundit last night talking about Dean and the fact that the Dem leadership does not want Dean in there. And that he cannot win the general election next year. I had to laugh cause this is the same group who have led us to defeat since 1996. So, my advice to them all: WAKE UP and pay attention to US!! Get out of DC and see what's happening in the real world. And I'll say it again. Dean spoke up for us when those who were there were too afraid to speak up for some reason. Except Sen. Byrd (I love you Sen:loveya:). Come 2004 you ALL might be looking for another gig!

3. Thanks, DEMOTEX...
For once again standing up for the rights of SO MANY people!:D

Both those currently in AARP and on Medicare (i.e., like my father), and those yet to be on Medicare--and who might now not end up being a member of AARP (like me)!

:kick:

B-)
