Suggestion for an anti-Bush ad...
This one usable by any candidate.

What we would do is refer quickly to 9/11, and then quickly segue into Kean's statement, preferably delivered live, that it "could have and should have been prevented." Follow with another line from him, the one that says that those in the administration should have been fired.

Then, what we'd want is a quote from Bush from those "Corporate Accountability" speeches - the one where Bush says that a leader should be, ultimately, held responsible for the failures and crimes of his subordinates.

Hold Bush Accountable - vote Democratic in 2004.

Can anyone find a good Bush quote to drive that point home?

1. Here's a speech excerpt and link...
Everyone in a company should live up to high standards. But the burden of leadership rightly belongs to the chief executive officer. CEOs set the ethical direction for their companies. They set a moral tone by the decisions they make, the respect they show their employees, and their willingness to be held accountable for their actions. They set a moral tone by showing their disapproval of other executives who bring discredit to the business world.

picture of bush (maybe in b&w), and (now, think of all those background 2-3 word phrases) ... picture issue words coming up from the background and fading out, but getting larger before fading out ... 911, corporate corruption, enron, pollution, secrecy, money, etc.

maybe having shrub say: "this is the first war of the 21st century"

voice over
is this what you had hope the 21st century would be like for you? your children? your grandchildren?

I'd like to see some era overlapping to show the Repuke path of the past (refresher American history snips) to what's happening now

depression overlays
1776 patriotism
other populist causes

to contrast and compare re: history has a way of repeating itself if we don't learn from the past
