MAD COW DISEASE!

the fearmongering campaign is utterly out of control. what will they pull tomorrow?

what will they pull under the cover of a TERROR CHRISTMAS?

why isn't anyone saying: more then two years after 9/11 and the Bush Administration has failed to make the country any safer. in fact, we're in more danger than ever.

failure. mad cow disease. michael jackson revealed as 2nd coming of Christ. failure. baby bigfoot is son of elvis... :nuke:

6. I came in from the "Latest" page
so I missed the earlier articles.

I think this could be a serious problem, but I'll let the story develop before I worry myself about it.

9. Look elsewhere for evidence of fearmongering
BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy), and especially its fatal human form, called new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, are very serious diseases.

10. no question
BUT,

based on the coverage i've seen so far it's been

MAD COW DISEASE!!!!

maybe...

and even if it is...

no threat to anyone...

just a maybe.

i hope that's it.

crippling the burger biz would hurt big time.... exposing BushCo's paybacks to the MEAT industry would hurt BushCo...

13. You have to wonder how these sensational stories keep overriding
substantive ones. For instance, for the past month the stories that have dominated the news have been: Michael Jackson, flu vaccines, Saddam's capture and now a tandem appearance of terror attacks/orange alerts and Mad Cow disease. Are you skeered yet?

At the same time all this hoopla has been dominating the airwaves, we have heard nothing about the outing of a spy, the 9/11 investigation which Bush promised would happen expeditiously, the FCC's attempts to push through consolidation efforts, and few heard about the real impacts of Bush's medicare package for corporations...

If you don't see what happening here, that nobody's crazy and that there are valid and valuable issues being ignored in favor of hype about Michael Jackson and Kobe Bryant, then you are not paying attention.

14. Don't forget Neil Bush never made major news...
you have to wonder when sharks and SARs will make a reappearance. I'm betting on next summer for sure. In tandem, too.

15. Becoming more and more like Clockwork Orange....
The putrescent poltroon

and his band of prevaricating loons

set to tie us up before

an endless loop

of holiday shopping hooplah

with dancing barnyard animals

and smiling crucifixes

that glow in the darkness.
