Johnny Cash logo
Did anyone else see the ad for the latest JCash retrospect set? Last night during the Steeler/Raven game I saw a great ad for it and it displayed the inverted flag symbol throughout. Is this new to JC?

2. American Recordings
They carry the more subversive and less mainstream bands mostly, Slayer always comes to mind.

I was surprised to see Cash linked with them.

5. Excellent album
I bought it nearly 4 weeks ago and still enjoy listening to it. Also bought a copy for my mom as a Christmas gift. It's no small thing when one's appeal can span generations.

4. yup
it's the logo for American Recordings, Rick Rubin's label, to which Johnny Cash was signed in recet years.

They also have the Jayhawks, paloalto, manmade god, slayer and others.

6. Seeing that flag has done me a WORLD of good!
LARGE props to whoever designed the ad and decided to stick with the American Recordings logo (that is, the flag turned upside down)!

Seeing Cash's craggy visage next to a symbol of distress is a PERFECT expression of Amerika's Brave New World (dis)Order. There was damn sure something wrong with a culture that embraced Toby Keith and rejected Johnny Cash!

Rick Rubin's continued use of the logo is truly courageous in this Era Of The Pinhead--and Cash CERTAINLY belongs on that record label.

He is the King of Rock And Roll.
