Is Ann Coulter Reviewing her Own Book?

I just ask that question because I'm seeing some strange things on the Amazon.com website lately. On the customer reviews section for "Slander", an unnamed reader from New York, NY keeps writing in to critique criticisms of the book. Reading them, I noticed that their tone seemed to almost closely resemble that of Ann Coulter herself. Also, such phrases such as "inconsequentional errors" and such are phrases that Coulter likes to employ. Also, the "customer" appears to have a psychic knowledge of "what Ann meant" and how she arrived at certain erroneous conclusions. Finally, on the reviewer profile, the city is NY, NY. That is the same city that Ann lives in and says that she wrote most of the book. If you don't believe me about that tidbit, look at this section of her Booknotes interview:-------------------------

1. I wouldn't be surprised
Both the writing style (vitriolic) and the style of reasoning (weird) are strikingly similar. Nobody else in the world can toture logic quite like Coulter. At least, I hope not.

The best demolition of Slander can be found in Al Franken's book, "Lies...". Page 15 points out how she abuses LexisNexis for her own ends. For example, when discussing a 1994 Christmas day speech broadcast on British television, she complains that the NYT did not report on the speech. Her methodology, to which she freely admits, was to search LexisNexis with the keywords, "Jesse Jackson and Germany and Fascism and South Africa". If Coulter honestly thought that that particular search would reveal the desired article then we can only wonder at her credentials as a reporter.

If you haven't read it, Slander is one of those books where the oft used phrase, "This isn't a book to be tossed aside lightly; it should be put tossed with great force", is definately applicable.

2. An oxymoron
coulter and "reasoning" in the same sentence (modifiers like weird, deranged, idiotic, and just plain crazy are acceptable)

And I wouldn't open any of her books on a bet.

7. Of Course!!
Who else would give Ann Coulter's book a good review? It was generally ill-received even in Conservative circles.

8. Well is she can mass-buy her books
to boost her stats on the bestseller list, surely she can review herself as well.

If you really want to get into this, sign up and post on the Amazon reviewers forum. The "Treason" thread was filled with thousands of posts at one point.
