Okay fans of "traditional" Blues and Folk music
Rory Block, Eric Bibb, and Maria Muldaur have a new CD out entitled "Sisters and Brothers". These three performers, while not known to the general public at large(well maybe Ms. Muldaur is), are just fantastic interpreters of the traditional Blues and Folk music, as well as fine writers. Their love of this genre comes through in this cd. Sorry if I sound like a press agent or something, but this cd is worth a listen. The final song is one that all who claim to be Christians should listen to, there is a fine message in it.

2. Sounds interesting
I am siting here listening to Clapton's new CD "Me and Mr. Johnson" after eating too much easter ham. I am always looking for good traditional blues (and folk) music.

3. i got that one
and i'm diggin it. trax 5 and 8 blow my brain, and the last one, hellhound, is very haunting. excellent blues album by clapton.

all his adult contemporary albums turned me off, except the ones that rock like journeyman, but this is hardcore real live blues

4. I assume you already have Clapton's other blues CD
"From the Cradle". If you don't, you need to get it right quick.

5. I'll check it out, thanks!
I saw Maria Muldaur live at the Monterey Bay Blues fest a couple of years back; she was great. I hadn't seen or heard anything she'd done since the 70's "Midnight at the Oasis." As a matter of fact, that's all I could remember about her. I was glad for the chance to hear her again.

6. That's worth knowing
I never much cared for Maria Muldaur's "Midnight at the Oasis" period, but I love her Jim Kweskin Jug Band work, and I liked "Richland Woman Blues" from a couple of years ago. I'll have to check this one out.

(Though I only found out much later, Maria Muldaur went to the same high school I did, some 3-4 years ahead of me. It was nice to know that at least one of that legion of Joan Baez wannabees made good on it.)
