Who knows, after a few days, I might have too. I doubt it, but who knows.
My brother sent me a package UPS with some expensive guitar accessories, among other things. He sent it to my old address in this same community, so someone else accepted it. I found out a little while ago that the package was delivered there on Monday. So........
I went to the house and asked for my package politely. I was told at first they didn't have it. After I became slightly more agitated (and when agitated, I am not someone you want to have a conversation with), the guy stated that his girlfriend had taken it to her grandmother's house. I told him we were now going to go over to the grandmother's house to retrieve it. I also told him I knew the man he rented from, and he shouldn't plan on being able to keep a residence there for very long. I also told him I didn't care if it was opened, I just wanted the package with everything in it.
He then left and came back to the front door with a huge box stuffed with stuff. I told him thanks, and that he had done the right thing.
It was a happy ending, but calls into question a number of things.
Was it my brother's fault for sending it to the wrong address?
Was it the girlfriend's fault for having a moment of greed and accepting the package?
Was it really anybody's fault or just a mistake that many others would have made?
I truly think I would have returned the package, or not accepted it in the first place.
Any thoughts on this?
