What is with these horse power freeks!!!

I'm sitting on my porch for the first time today after a long, cold winter. The ice went off the lake last week. There are a ton of ducks here this year...I would say 3 times the number that were here last year. In the midst of a very serene scene, this asshole in a power boat takes off and blasts around the lake...blasts the ducks away into the sky...blasts the silence and serenity...for about 10 obnoxious minutes...then he's gone.

Somebody please tell me...what is the psychology here, or what is the pathology that makes someone want to blast away the good things???

But I share your feelings. So often I am admiring the flowers in my garden and the birds chirping and the little 2-year old next door laughing and playing with the dogs and then a leaf blower starts blasting and ruins it all.

I am so sick of it.

stifferns for their manhood instead of horsepower? leaf blower`s are for wimps-unless you are really old....

3. Depends on the horse power.

When it comes to water, I stick to lakes with a 5mph speed limit. I prefer canoes, myself.

When it comes to the ground, I prefer 1-horse power. Clip, clop, clip, clop, and I meditate while my 1-horse-power ride picks her way up and down hills, over obstacles, through ditches, across streams...whatever. No hurry.
