The Hornets almost won game 1. Wade hit a shot with a couple seconds left to win it for the Heat. It's like the Hornets just gave up. Mashburn mouthed off and was sent home, and the rest of the team imploded. Mashburn wasn't even playing, but he chose NOW to mouth off. What a genius.

4. All this sound and fury

and it's all just fighting over who gets blown out in the Finals by the Spurs.

The East is just horrible. How many sub .500 teams made the playoffs this year?

5. The Nets can take the Spurs this year

The only reason we lost last year was because we suck against teams with great big men.

You had two of them last year, even if one of them was old.

Now if we match up with you again we can rotate guys around and clog up Duncan and I think Jefferson can shut down Genobili.

I predict Nets in 7 if both teams reach the Finals.

Shut down Ginobili? Jefferson? That's hilarious.

You're basing your entire strategy on shutting down our sixth man and somehow becoming the first team in the NBA to nullify Tim Duncan.

Ain't gonna happen.

Oh, and don't discount Nesterovic. His stats are almost exactly what Robinson's were, and Robinson wasn't playing that many minutes (except for that last game when he smoked everybody for a jillion rebounds).

You should worry more about the fact that K-Mart disappears in big games. And that the Spurs' defense is actually better this year.

Plus, we added a motion offense and have been scoring big lately. The Nets will be lucky to make the Finals, and lucky to push it to six if they do.

One final thing: Robert Horry is on the Spurs now.
