Listening to Chicago "Live at Carnegie" right now...amazing album! 3 Disks! Lots of groove! Horns galore!

So where are the bands with a full on horn section these days??? For these guys it added depth in a way synthesizers couldn't touch!

I gotta tell ya, I got pretty tired of horny bands the first go-round. Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, Chase...and they all seemed to be on Columbia Records for some crazy reason. I couldn't wait for that fad to die out.

Tower of Power were better than all the rest.

It's amazing how much more life a horn section brings to a cover of "Touch Me", by The Doors. That and "Get the Funk Out" by Extreme...
