the "Freepers Enemy List"

how is it that they are allowed an open "enemies list"? Wouldent that Warrant Federal survalence, monitoring, and open them up to a HUGE wrongfull death/Murder lawsuit if someone started gunning down the people on this list?

I don't think the posting in and of itself is illegal (unless it was under some type of copyright which I doubt).

Some of the postings in the thread that followed the original posting sound like some of the FReepers might be engaged in some intimadation that might cross some legal boundaries.

But it is disgusting.

And with the timing of the beheading and their posting of Michael Berg's (the father) name, at the very least it's repugnant and reprehensible.

9. Freepers have an infantile fascination with making "traitors" lists...

"Traitor" meaning anyone who speaks their mind, or who (gasp) may be openly critical of the president (excluding Clinton, of course).

They compose lists of Hollywood "traitors," media/news "traitors," "traitorous" sponsors of "liberal" programs (??), and of "traitors" who contribute to or participate in any anti-war activities.

And they are utterly ignorant of the deadly irony of their actions -- eroding the rights of private citizens and entities in the name of "patriotism."
